Crrently the limitations for Thumbnails are:
Minimum Image Dimension: 60x30
Maximum Allowed Dimension: 9000x9000
Maximum FileSize Allowed: 8MB
These values can be increased or decreased if needed but don't think it will be needed.
For GIF thumbnails what is the dimension???
For GIF also it is same. though larger gif will not play in thread display page. it will show as a snap (jpg), gif will only play if you click that thumbnail.
This limitation of big gif not playing in thumbnail has been placed to keep site load faster in average networks as well.
Talking about the limitations.
Gif image that will play in thumbnail is set to 320x240!
though you want to upload slightly lower resolution than this.

Both should be fast but I'll look into the issue and integrating more image hosts.
Why uploading speed is very slow in flash-files ?
Are you talking about it has become slower today than other days or what?
if that is so it could be temporary issue, will be resolved automatically.
If you are talking about it being slightly slower all the time compared to other file hosts, all i can say is it is to protect and store the uploaded data more securely so we do not lose them ever. Basically we do upload 2 times, that is why it is bit slower.
First time you upload with your internet speed to our active storage server, after your upload, our server upload that file from active storage to our another permanent storage.
The active storage is based in India and Another storage is in Europe.
It is all to protect files better, we do clean up our active storage once couple of months. This way we never run out of space and we can keep your files permanently without deleting it after XXX days unlike other file hosts.
This is Administrator part, i did not wanted to share, but I've been asked same questions alot of times. So this is why it is bit slow. Im trying to make it faster and it will be faster when flash-files.com server will have lighting fast internet speed. Right now we are managing with 1Gbits P/S which is 100 MB upload to our permanent storage per second.

I think it's slow from yesterday.
It takes nearly an hour to upload 238 MB file..
Sometimes it's stop uploading and the page is just loading like it's uploading.
Please add speed meter in flash-files so that we check our uploading speed..
